Meet the team
Team lead · REALTOR® · ABR, CLHMS, SRS · Royal LePage Atlantic
I was licensed in 2012 and I've only ever lived in Atlantic Canada. I grew up in Cape Breton, moved to Halifax about twenty years ago, and built this business on one idea: give people the advice I'd want for my own family, and the rest takes care of itself.
Before real estate I was a police officer, which is where the habit of listening first and documenting everything comes from. I bought my first home at twenty-one and have been an investor ever since, so I understand both sides of the table. I wear a suit most days because my father and grandfather did.
Away from work: a purple belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, long treks to raise money for shelter, and a golden doodle who thinks he runs the office.
How Don works
For sellers, that means a pre-listing inspection, staging from the team's own inventory, a professional clean, photography, video and a 3D tour, and a price built from this month's comparable sales rather than last spring's. For buyers, it means honest numbers on what a home will really cost, the conditions that protect you, and showings arranged around your life, including virtual ones if you are moving from away.
A recent example: 76 Tilbury Avenue in West Bedford, a vacant townhouse in a slower market, sold at full asking price in 11 days.

Client experiences
He connected us with professional cleaners, arranged excellent staging services, and provided practical recommendations on what improvements would have the greatest impact before listing. When our home finally hit the market, it sold in less than 20 hours.
Our process took longer than expected, but he stayed on top of every detail and kept things moving without ever losing patience or focus. He was responsive, proactive, and genuinely invested in getting us the right outcome, not just a quick close.
He always answered emails and phone calls in a timely fashion. He helped us beyond a realtor did. He sold our home within a day. What else can you ask from a realtor?
We didn't have to ask many questions because he explained everything with great detail. My family is soon closing on our first home and we couldn't be more grateful.
